       Overview
      Dr. Aenor Sawyer is an expert in physical therapy and exercise physiology and provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care to pediatric and adolescent orthopedic patients. Throughout her career, Sawyer has maintained a strong research interest in childhood bone development, which she pursued as an adjunct clinical scientist at Children's Hospital of Oakland Research Institute and as the director of the Pediatric Bone Health Consortium. Her other research interests include sports injury prevention, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and osteoporosis.

      In addition to her training as an orthopedic surgeon, Sawyer has a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from California State University, Fresno. After a 10-year career in physical therapy, she earned a master's degree in human physiology and a medical degree from the University of California, Davis. After completing an orthopedic surgery residency at Stanford University, Sawyer pursued fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery and pediatric and adolescent sports medicine, both at the Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Orthopedic program.
