      Clinical interests: Dr. Boyle is a cardiologist at the UCSF Heart and Vascular Center who specializes in caring for patients with coronary artery disease. Dr. Boyle is a trained Interventional Cardiologist who performs diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterizations, coronary artery angioplasty and stenting, and closure of atrial septal defects (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO).

      Research interests: Dr Boyle's clinical research interests include adult stem cell therapies for heart disease and innovative aspects of trans-radial cardiac catheterization. In the basic science laboratory, he studies left ventricular remodeling in aging and disease, with a particular focus on molecular mechanisms of cardiac fibrosis.
