Beth is a Research Services Coordinator on Team J. She serves the Department of Pediatrics Divisions of: Campus Administration, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, and Neonatology. Beth joined RMS Team J after nearly five years with the UCSF Department of Pediatrics Core Pre-award and is pleased to have the opportunity to continue supporting the faculty, fellows and administration in the Department with the submission of their research proposals as a member of RMS Team J as an RSC and Contracts and Grants Officer.

Beth has numerous years of experience in research administration, beginning her career as the Division Administrator for Basic Sciences at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. While there, she was responsible for the development, review and administration of the division budget; coordinating submission of grant proposals to a variety of funding agencies, including the Basic Sciences components of the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center Core Grant. A major highlight of her tenure at the Hutchinson Center was completion of the first two buildings at its new South Lake Union campus, housing the Divisions of Basic Sciences and Molecular Medicine. After leaving the Hutchinson Center, Beth joined the Group Health Cooperative Center for Health Studies in Seattle as a Research Administrative Specialist, providing support to faculty with their applications to a wide range of federal agencies and private foundations, as well as assisting with the development of the Center’s annual operating budget. Prior to joining UCSF, Beth was a Senior Grants Specialist with the University of Florida Division of Sponsored Research, responsible for pre-award for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Agriculture, School of Medicine, and off-campus research facilities. In addition to assisting University faculty with preparation and submission of research grant applications to a wide variety of federal, state and private agencies, DSR was responsible for award acceptance and reviewing industry contracts and agreements to ensure their compliance with university policies.

As a member of RMS Team J, Beth is pleased to have the opportunity to provide support for UCSF faculty and fellows in their research endeavors by assisting them with their research proposals.
