 Overview As the Site Director for the Medicine Clerkships at Moffitt-Long Hospitals, Dr. Lai directly teaches students and oversees the education of third-year and fourth-year medical students on their medicine clerkship and subinternship. She also directs the standardized patient program on advanced directives, and is a core member of the leadership group for PISCES, the longitudinal integrated clerkship for third-year medical students. Dr. Lai is the Course Director for the longitudinal third-year medical school course, Intersessions, which integrates education on health policy, clinical decision-making, translational medicine, medical ethics, professional development, and clinical skills. In addition to serving as a hospitalist teaching attending, Dr. Lai is a primary care physician who also precepts medical students and residents in clinic.
