      Debbie has been managing intellectual property at UCSF since 2009 and specializes in the rapidly-growing areas of dHealth innovations, software, and copyrights. Over these years, Debbie has managed a large biomedical invention and patent portfolio, successfully negotiated a wide range of licensing deals, and played critical roles in the formations of several UCSF start-ups. Debbie was previously a Scientific Curator at TAIR, the worldwide Arabidopsis database; and also performed postdoctoral research at Stanford University. Debbie holds a DPhil in Plant Sciences from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Durham University.
