Dr. Jonathan Witonsky is an allergist and immunologist who cares for children and adolescents with atopic diseases, including atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and food allergy. His research interests lie in the application of clinical, socioenvironmental, and genomic data to predict asthma-related outcomes among pediatric populations facing a disproportionate burden of the condition. Dr. Witonsky earned his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at UCSF.

Improving Prediction of Asthma-related Outcomes with Genetic Ancestry-informed Lung Function Equations
    NIH/NHLBI K23HL169911Aug 1, 2023 - Jul 31, 2028
    Role: Principal Investigator
Description: The goal of this study is to evaluate genetic ancestry-informed lung function equations for predicting asthma-related outcomes while disentangling the social and genetic determinants of genetic ancestry differences in lung function.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
