Katherine Gundling, MD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, and practice chief for the Allergy/Immunology faculty practice. She served for 8 years as a faculty member in internal medicine before returning for subspecialty training in Allergy/Immunology. Her work with trainees has included 8 years as Associate Program Director and Director of Medical Education for the internal medicine residency program at UC Davis, and Site Director for the Allergy/Immunology fellowship at UCSF. Her research interests have included investigation of alternative medical therapies and, more recently, common variable immunodeficiency. She is developing an on-line Allergy/Immunology curriculum to help supplant the lack of training that most students and residents receive in this subspecialty.
