Michelle is a Contracts and Grants Officer within the Office of Sponsored Research. She has been providing pre-award proposal support to UCSF faculty, postdocs and graduate students across campus, since 2012.

Prior to joining UCSF, Michelle was a Research Advancement Specialist at Arizona State University, where she provided pre-award services to faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from various departments across campus. Her previous experience working with researchers in fields such as anthropology, archaeology, geology, education, law, sustainability, engineering, as well as arts and humanities, has provided a solid foundation to build upon in her current role supporting innovative, sometimes ground-breaking, medical research here at UCSF.

Michelle has a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus on Human Services from Oregon State University and a Masters in Nonprofit Studies from Arizona State University. When she is not at work, she thoroughly enjoys spending time with her husband and their two kids.
