I currently oversee the the campus-wide UCSF Participant Recruitment Service which is an exciting initiative that will assist investigators in more effectively recruiting into their clinical studies.
I have extensive experience in clinical research operations, with particular recent emphasis on participant recruitment. As a Clinical Operations Manager with the Immune Tolerance Network I successfully planned and implemented a large-scale recruitment campaign for a high-profile, high-risk international clinical trial. I led a multi-disciplinary team that enrolled a pediatric cohort of infants at high risk for peanut allergy in 1.5 years, 6 months ahead of the 2 year recruitment goal. In my current role with the UCSF Clinical & Translational Science Institute I have been responsible for the strategic planning, development and implementation of a new core service providing technology-heavy recruitment infrastructure and support to UCSF investigators on a recharge model. I led the design and programming of a volunteer research participant registry and the first academic research participant management system to track potential research participants against recruitment advertising and referral campaigns through the prescreening, screening and enrollment phases. I have provided broad clinical operations expertise across many therapeutic areas, managing diverse portfolios of clinical trials in the industry, consortium and university settings.
