Since moving to the USA in 2000, Renuka has been working with the University of California San Francisco, bringing with her extensive experience working with large corporations in India. Seven out of almost 11 years have been spent providing the full spectrum of pre- and post-award services to faculty in various Departments and Divisions. Renuka takes pride in ensuring that faculty receive quality, efficient, responsive and responsible research administrative and financial services. Renuka spent about 8 years with Department of Medicine in different Divisions - Central Office, Hematology & Oncology Division and Gastroenterology Division. Her most recent position was with the Department of Surgery, Transplant Services before moving into her new role as a Research Services Coordinator in Research Management Services.

In her role as a Research Services Coordinator (RSC), Renuka will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, work with the faculty and their staff to prepare and submit research grant proposals and clinical trials contracts including budget development, completing administrative and internal forms, incoming and outgoing subcontract agreements, negotiating payment schedules, independent consulting agreements etc. while ensuring all sponsor and university guidelines are met.
