Mr. Chaturvedi is a Senior Program Manager and Senior Technical Advisor with the Global Strategic Information Group in UCSF Global Health Sciences where he supports various projects in global HIV surveillance, monitoring and evaluation, health technology, data synthesis and triangulation, and HIV prevention among key populations. He leads GSI activities in the Caribbean Region and Namibia including donor relations and reporting, team leadership, budgeting and financial management, partnerships development, program operations, and strategic planning. He also supports establishment and operationalization of UC's international NGO affiliate in Namibia.
Prior to joining UCSF, he was an ASPH/CDC Allan Rosenfield Global Health Program Management and Epidemiology Fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of Global HIV/AIDS based in Guyana. In that role, he supported the Ministry of Health and other partners in strategic information (including surveillance and monitoring and evaluation), prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and health systems strengthening. His international experience includes working with the World Health Organization's Department of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases on schistosomiasis control, WHO/TDR's Planning for Success Initiative on effective project planning and management in health research, and Sabin Vaccine Institute's Human Hookworm Vaccine Initiative, as well as work with international NGOs in Nepal, India, and El Salvador.
