Overview Alisa serves as a Strategic and Technical Advisor in Global Health Sciences, supporting strategic activities and new initiatives.
Alisa has over two decades of experience conducting research and implementing programs in resource-limited settings. She has worked on projects in Latin America, Southeast Asia, Africa and rural Alaska, in positions at the University of Washington, UC Berkeley, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She honed her statistical skills while working as a Research Fellow at the National Center for Health Statistics, CDC, after completing her graduate degree. She developed her passion for public health while working on maternal and child health programs as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras. Alisa received an MPH from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She is proficient in Spanish.
