As a fellow at the Institute for Health Policy Studies, my research uses state administrative datasets to evaluate legal reforms affecting criminal justice and population health. In particular, I examine geographic and racial equity in implementation and outcomes, and the value and data quality limitations of administrative data for predicting and monitoring the effects of policy change. I am currently focused on the relationship between underinvestment in death investigation systems and mortality data quality, and its implications for equitable and effective public health policy.
