    Aniqa Azim is an academic hospitalist at UCSF. Aniqa completed her undergraduate studies at Brown University where she majored in Neuroscience. She completed medical school at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and was initially interested in Psychiatry, in which she completed over a year of residency training, before pivoting into Internal Medicine during the COVID pandemic. As an internal medicine resident, Aniqa developed her interests in the intersection of art and medicine. Aniqa completed a Chief Resident year at OHSU, during which she grew her skills as a teacher and her interest in medical education. Aniqa’s writing has been featured in Intima and the Journal of General Internal Medicine, as well as in regional medical conferences. Aniqa’s interests include medical education, the medical humanities, resilience in medicine, and quality improvement.
