    Ann has diverse experience on both sides of the academic research enterprise, as a researcher and as an administrator, she also has industry experience. She obtained her PhD in molecular genetics from the University of Oxford and was a postdoctoral researcher at the San Diego Zoo and the University of Cambridge. In addition, Ann has worked with a small biotechnology company and with large international companies exploring new biotechnology applications. Ann has more than 10 years of experience in research administration, including at the University of Cambridge, MIT, UC Berkeley and UCSF.
