    Camilo Cortesi is a clinical fellow in the Division of Nephrology at the University of California in San Francisco. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. His background is in point-of-care ultrasound, non-invasive hemodynamic evaluation of cardiorenal syndrome and critically ill patients. Currently, he is part of the first group of physicians seeking board certification in advanced critical care echocardiography in the United States. His research interests focus on the interactions between the kidneys and the heart particularly in the kidney transplant population. He is interested in medical education, specifically in incorporating the ultrasound evaluation into clinical practice.
