Chantra obtained her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the Masters Entry Program in Nursing at UCSF. She worked as a registered nurse in the telemetry/ transitional cardiac unit at UCSF for 7 years. She often performed as a charge nurse or resource nurse, and was involved in educating staff, new students, and patient care assistants.
Chantra has been working in the cardiac stress lab as a nurse practitioner for over 10 years now. Her work consists of performing stress tests, screening for test appropriateness, and helping to mentor new employees or students/Residents. She is involved in quality improvement projects and have presented at the Health Symposium about Reducing Radiation in Nuclear Stress Testing. She was also the primary provider in performing tests for the Explorer/ MyoKardia Trial with HOCM patients.
