Christian serves as Associate Registrar at the University of California, San Francisco, where he leads a broad operational and systems portfolio supporting the academic lifecycle. His areas of responsibility include courses and grading, course catalog management, course evaluations (Eval25), degree conferrals, diplomas (including ordering and reissues), registration operations, and the Reports Portal. He also oversees the Senate Course Review System and provides institutional guidance on course setup. In parallel, Christian plays a key role in shaping and advancing academic policy, serving as a primary resource for policy interpretation, development, and implementation across the university. In addition, he manages access and governance across key institutional systems and portals (SIS, Events, Appointment, and Faculty) and leads campus-wide portals training initiatives.
Beyond core registrar functions, Christian plays a central role in enterprise systems strategy and implementation. He leads systems implementation for the UCSF graduate admissions platform and is actively involved in the transition to Oracle Cloud, which will replace the university’s current student information system. His work focuses on aligning technology, policy, and process to improve operational efficiency and enhance the student and faculty experience.
Since 2007, Christian has held a range of roles across education, spanning both classroom instruction and administrative leadership. He relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2018 to advance his career in higher education administration and has since focused on driving institutional progress through cross-functional collaboration and a strong commitment to the student experience. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the Bay Area and taking full advantage of its diversity, culture, and landscape.
