    Christina Quist is the VA Inpatient Site Director for the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency Program and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She also works as a medical educator, mentor and advisor for students and residents.

    Dr. Quist received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures. She subsequently earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where she was recognized as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. Dr. Quist remained at UCSF to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine.

    In 2015, Dr. Quist joined UCSF's faculty as a member of the San Francisco VA Division of Hospital Medicine. At the VA, she cares for veterans on the medical service, surgical co-management service, and medicine consult service and works in the SFVA emergency department. She also teaches and supervises medical students and internal medicine residents while attending on the inpatient medicine wards. As Inpatient Site Director for the residency program, she works closely with the housestaff, faculty, medical center and residency leadership to promote and maintain a high-value educational experience. She also serves on the UCSF Internal Medicine Residency Selection and Clinical Competency Committees.

    Dr. Quist’s academic interests include medical education and professional development, trainee mentorship, hospital medicine and wilderness medicine. She is committed to engendering an inclusive and diverse training environment.
