Dave is an Associate Research Services Coordinator on Team D. Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in Semiotics from Brown University in—well, some time ago. More recently he took a Master’s Degree in Poetics from the New College of California in 1992. Despite all that he wound up temping at San Francisco law firms for several years before being hired by the UCSF Psychiatry Department’s Grants Management office in 2000. He helped with a variety of pre-award tasks, especially postdoctoral fellowship applications, until receiving the call from RMS in late 2011. David is committed to learning a lot more about research administration, working with team members who have a variety of different types of experience, and getting to know faculty and students new to him. He also plans to keep writing, and to keep a lookout for some of the ghosts that must be haunting a building as old as UC Hall.
