I am a nurse practitioner and public health professional with a solid history of achievement in clinical medicine, public health and international development. As a NP, I have worked in a number of clinical environments, including a federally qualified health center, family practice, technology start-up, department of public health and public university. I have experience assessing, diagnosing, treating and providing bilingual Spanish care to individuals in primary care, urgent care and specialty care settings. As a public health professional, I have experience in designing, implementing, managing and evaluating health programs and curriculum, both domestically and internationally.

Currently I work in Kisumu, Kenya on two projects. I am the Project Coordinator for the Community Health Initiative, where we bring HIV testing and health care services to urban slums. I am also the Research Coordinator for Maneno Yetu, a research study whose aim is to increase HIV knowledge and decrease risk behaviors among adolescents.

My goal is to work at the intersection of clinical medicine and public health, utilizing data, as well as provider and patient experiences, to shape health policy, protocols and program design.
