    Elena McGahey is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the UCSF School of Medicine, with an appointment in the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies. Elena works with Dr. Justin White on studies which examine how monetary and non-monetary incentives can be used to promote smoking cessation. Her main research focus is promoting help-seeking behaviors in vulnerable populations, particularly in the smoking cessation and athletics contexts.

    Under Dr. White's guidance, Elena is managing an R21 project that examines a novel intervention for smoking cessation in the mHealth context.
