    Dr. Esther H. Chen is an emergency care doctor who cares for patients at UCSF Medical Center and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. She also serves as associate program director for UCSF's residency program in emergency medicine. Her particular interests are medical education and the selective use of diagnostic imaging.

    After receiving her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Stanford University, Chen earned her medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
