    Gitouf Elnema is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of California San Francisco and the Director of Education for the UCSF hospitalist faculty group at Saint Mary's medical center. She divides her time between direct care teams, teaching teams and her leadership role in medical education.

    Gitouf received her MBBS in 2010 from University of Khartoum in Sudan and finished her Internal Medicine residency in 2017 at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta,Georgia followed by a year as a chief resident. She then joined the Division of Hospital Medicine at University of California as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in 2018.
