    Dr. Dong received MR physicist training from Eindhoven University of Technology and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center where he also obtained his PhD degree. He joined UCSF as a post-doctoral fellow at Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. Dr. Dong's research interest includes medical physics, MR imaging, cardiovascular MR, applications of MR and artificial intelligence in radiation therapy.

    In addition to his post-doctoral duty, Dr. Dong is working towards becoming an American Board of Radiology (ABR)-certified therapeutic medical physicist. He would like to explore how his knowledge in MR physics could potentially assist and improve the status quo radiation therapy modalities to further benefit cancer patients.

    Dr. Dong is an active trainee member of AAPM, ISMRM, SCMR, AHA and IEEE. Dr. Dong also serves as a VEPP committee member for AAPM working group on topics coordination dashboard (WGTCD) in the administrative council and for AAPM educators' resources guide working group (ERGWG) in the education council.
