    Jiayu received her PhD in Biochemistry in 2019 at University of British Columbia in Canada. The focus of her PhD study was to assess the effect of dietary fats on metabolic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases. After that, she pursued her career at the same institution to investigate the effect of dietary fats on reshaping gut microbiome and the subsequent host metabolic response. She joined Bhushan lab in September 2021 to study the how accumulated senescent cells fail endogenous immune surveillance.
