Dr. Kimberly J. Martin is a University of California President's Postdoctoral Scholar in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her research examines the experiences, mental health, and physical health-related outcomes of members of minoritized groups. Through her research she aims to develop culturally relevant methods and interventions to reduce discrimination and increase acknowledgment of and support for addressing racial inequity.
Dr. Martin's research has been awarded and recognized by the National Institute of Mental Health and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology Jenessa Shapiro Award (among others).
Dr. Martin earned her B.A. in Psychology, with honors and high distinction, from UC Berkeley and her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from UCLA.
