    Michael D. Burg, M.D., is board certified in Emergency Medicine.

    Dr. Burg completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California, Irvine and his medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Harbor/UCLA.

    Dr. Burg served as the Education/Residency Director at the first Emergency Residency in Amsterdam, helping to found the specialty in the Netherlands. He also founded the Emergency Medicine Residency at Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, CA and was its first Residency Program Director. ACEP recognized him as a Hero of Emergency Medicine. He also founded ACEP's Section of Medical Humanities and served as its inaugural Chair. Dr. Burg maintains an active academic career, collaborating locally and internationally on scholarly projects, consulting as a medico-legal expert and searching for the next great opportunity.
