    Neil is a Research Services Coordinator/Contracts & Grants Officer on Team G. He serves the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine Dean's Office, and the Center for Health and Community. Neil brings nearly 25 years of UC experience to his role as Research Services Coordinator/Contracts & Grants Officer in Research Services Management. His background includes five years of experience at UC Berkeley College of Chemistry where he was fund manager and seven years of experience at UCOP Office of Research where he was Senior Budget Analyst. Since coming to UCSF in 2006, Neil has worked in the Department of Physiological Nursing as a Pre-award Analyst. Neil grew up in Taiwan, in a picturesque valley near the rural southeast coast. He came to the United States in 1985 and became an American citizen in 1999. He enjoys swimming daily, and was formerly with the UC Berkeley Swim Masters. Neil also coaches the Special Olympics swim team in Oakland.
