Overview Ragini Sastry, D.O. Clinic Director of Women's Health Center Clinical Instructor
Dr. Sastry earned her medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology was completed at University of California, San Francisco, Fresno where she was also awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year.
Dr. Sastry plays a pivotal role in the delivery of gynecologic oncology care in the Central Valley, from consultations in the office, to providing surgical services. Her passion is providing high quality compassionate care to all her patients despite the many financial and social challenges they may face. She is dedicated to making the most advanced and effective cancer treatments more readily available to our patients here in the Valley.
As full time faculty in the UCSF Fresno Obstetrics/Gynecology program, she is honored and excited to mentor the next generation of doctors in this field.
Her professional interests include complex gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, and gynecologic oncology.
She was a Senior Airman in the 129th Medical Group for the United States Air Force where she earned Outstanding Airman of the Year for the State of California.
In addition to being awarded outstanding resident at the completion of her residency, she received the awards for minimally invasive surgery, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, as well as the award for medical student education.
Her hobbies include power yoga and meditation, cooking for her family, and visiting national parks
