Dr. Melo completed his B.S and graduated medical school from the University of California Riverside School of Medicine. He completed his residency at UCSF Fresno. Dr. Melo is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and certified in delivering repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Following residency, Dr. Melo joined the faculty at UCSF Fresno in 2023 as a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor and serves as an attending psychiatrist and Medical Director at the VA Central California Health Care System in the Substance Use Disorder Program. Dr. Melo enjoys spending time with his family, friends, exercising, eating diverse food, drinking boba and following his favorite basketball team the Lakers.
