He is the Director of the annual "Semana de Induccion" (orientation week) for incoming interns of the IGSS Emergency Medicine Residency in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Dr. Ernst is also the director of the Diploma in Emergency Medicine at Cho Ray University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, an 18-month training program, including clinical and didactic instruction, culminating in exams and certificate awarded through a collaboration of the University of Utah, UC Davis, and UCSF Fresno.
