Overview CLINICAL ACTIVITIES: My primary clinic site is UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore where I provide primary care to patients of all ages, including ambulatory prenatal care. In a week, my youngest patient could be 4 days old, my oldest patient over 90. I particularly enjoy taking care of multigenerational families. One of my weekly sessions is a Procedure Clinic, which consists largely of derm procedures and contraceptive procedures such as IUD or Nexplanon placement. I also see patients with family medicine residents at SFGH Family and Community Health Center. My inpatient work consists of taking care of newborns on the family medicine service at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES: When I am seeing patients at UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore, I am teaching third year medical students about 30% of the time. I have two assigned PISCES students, who work with me throughout the year. I also teach FCM 110 students during their 6 week rotations. I teach in the PISCES classroom curriculum. I am a part of the Primary Care Leadership Academy (PCLA) Leadership Counsel and have developed a Primary Care Procedures Elective for 1st year medical students.
