As Deputy Director of Operations for Tideswell at UCSF, I ensure that healthcare models are continually developed and rigorously evaluated in order to provide the best care possible and improve the quality of life for patients and their caregivers. I oversee Tideswell’s efforts to develop a robust database infrastructure to facilitate the tracking of health care quality and analysis of innovative clinical care programs for older adults who receive care in their home.

I am also the Deputy Director for the National Home-based Primary Care and Palliative Care Network, which was chartered to optimize care quality provided by home-based practices by defining quality metrics for this field of medicine and creating a quality of care registry to track these metrics.

Prior to joining UCSF, I was a member of Duke University's Center for Palliative Care, where I led clinical research studies and worked with patients near the end of their lives to improve communication with their doctors and define goals of care.
