Overview
William “Billy” Smith, MD, MBA, MPH is based at the San Francisco VA Medical Center where he is the Director of Primary Care for the Sierra Pacific Regional Telehealth Hub (VISN21 Clinical Resource Hub). He leads a multidisciplinary team providing care to clinics throughout Northern California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Guam. A practicing primary care physician within the Division of General Internal Medicine, his overarching interests are in reducing healthcare access disparities as well as the creative use of technology to reshape healthcare delivery.
