      Dr. Sabrina Fernandez (formerly Sabrina Santiago) is a primary care pediatrician who cares for children of all ages at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. She sees patients both at the Mount Zion campus and at the Mission Bay campus. In her practice, she sees children for routine primary care, health maintenance, and sick visits. Her interests include preventative care, quality improvement and patient-physician communication. She is also interested in immunizations, and is a board member of the San Francisco Immunization Coalition. She is also interested in the use of social media to engage patients and families. She helped launch the UCSF Peds By The Bay Blog, which is the first, official blog of the UCSF Department of Pediatrics. She also enjoys teaching medical students and residents in her pediatric practice at UCSF/Mount Zion.

      Dr. Fernandez is an assistant professor of pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her medical degree at UC Davis School of Medicine, followed by residency and chief residency in pediatrics at UCSF.
