    Amiee Alden is UCSF’s Senior Director of Local and State Government Relations. In support of UCSF’s health, education, and research mission, she connects UCSF leadership, faculty, students, and staff with the Governor’s Office, State Legislature, Mayor’s Office, and San Francisco Board of Supervisors, as well as state and local agencies. She is responsible for planning and implementing the university’s state and local government relations and advocacy efforts in Sacramento and San Francisco. 

    Prior to coming to UCSF, Amiee held leadership positions with California State Assembly Budget Chair Phil Ting and then-Mayor Gavin Newsom, after starting her career with Congressman Henry Waxman. Amiee holds a Master’s of Public Policy from UC Berkeley and a B.A. from Georgetown University. She is originally from Santa Barbara, and today lives in San Francisco with her two children.
