Gavin Rynne joined UCSF from the Life Sciences Foundation (LSF), a startup nonprofit dedicated to capturing and preserving the history of the commercial biotech industry. As Research & Archives Manager, he supported the research efforts and administration needs of three PhD historians of science. He joined LSF immediately after earning his BA in history at UC Berkeley, where his concentration had been the history of science and technology. While at LSF Gavin earned a certificate in editing from UC Berkeley Extension and learned skills that he used as production manager of the foundation’s quarterly magazine. Gavin looks forward to employing those skills in the service of RMS Team B. In a previous life Gavin was a theatre manager in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In his spare time he continues to indulge his love of live theatre, and each year is a volunteer team captain for the Frameline Film Festival.
