Dr. Nikolay Dimitrov received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemistry at UCLA and completed his medical training at Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his residency training in Psychiatry at UCSF-Fresno Psychiatry Residency Program, where he was chief resident. He is board certified in Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Dimitrov joined VACCHCS (VA Fresno) in 2020 and is an attending psychiatrist on the inpatient psychiatry unit, where he provides acute psychiatric services to veterans in the California central valley and supervises residents rotating through the VA inpatient psychiatry rotation. He holds strong interests in resident supervision and teaching, quality improvement in the VA healthcare system and optimal clinical care for patients with psychiatric illnesses.
