Overview
Dr. Roque received his undergraduate degrees in Psychobiology and Biology with a minor in Public Health from UCLA. He worked as a behavior therapist and special education paraeducator in Santa Clara County before finishing his medical training at Touro University California, along with a Master of Public Health with a Global Health Concentration. He completed his psychiatry residency training at UCSF Fresno, serving as co-chief resident in his final year. Dr. Roque is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He works as an attending psychiatrist in the Substance Use Disorders Program at the Department of Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System, with an appointment as a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Fresno Department of Psychiatry. His interests include addiction, trauma, therapy, health systems, education, and public/community psychiatry.
Dr. Roque is from San Jose, CA, on the southern end of the San Francisco Bay Area. He enjoys camping, snowboarding, rock climbing, paddle boarding, and mountain biking.
