Alina Goncharova is a Technical Project Manager at UCSF's Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI), where she helps researchers integrate machine learning algorithms, SMART on FHIR applications, and other research tools into the electronic health record (EHR). She collaborates with UCSF Health, CTSI, and UCSF IT stakeholders to develop and execute the APeX Enabled Research (AER) program, which provides support to researchers throughout the entire process of launching EHR-integrated products.
Alina has also supported initiatives such as the enterprise-wide launch of GitHub, management and transition of Open Proposals, and development of new de-identified data assets for research. Prior to joining UCSF, Alina worked in neuroscience research at the Oregon Health & Science University, supporting fMRI research studying the effects of maternal inflammation on the brain. Outside of work, you can usually find Alina in the mountains: skiing, backpacking, or enjoying nature.
