Alina Goncharova Morawski is a Product Manager and Program Manager in Research Informatics within UCSF Academic Research Services. She co-leads the APeX Enabled Research (AER) program, where she focuses on product and program strategy, service development, and building sustainable operating models that enable researchers to bring EHR-integrated innovations into clinical care. Working in partnership with technical leadership and teams across UCSF Research, UCSF Health, Health IT, and the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI), she helps shape the products, platforms, processes, and governance that support this work.

Her work spans EHR-integrated research and digital health products, including SMART on FHIR applications, clinical AI, and research platforms that embed research directly into clinical workflows. Through AER, Alina has helped establish scalable pathways for developing and operationalizing these innovations, connecting research teams with the technical infrastructure, delivery models, evaluation processes, and governance needed to translate research into clinical practice.

Alina also leads initiatives focused on how multidisciplinary technology teams operate and scale, developing service and operating models that improve capacity, accountability, and delivery. Her work includes cross-functional and multi-institutional collaborations spanning research, healthcare, and technology. Her contributions to healthcare technology and AI collaborations have been recognized through multiple UC Tech Awards.

Prior to joining UCSF, Alina worked in neuroscience research at Oregon Health & Science University, supporting neuroimaging studies of brain development, behavior, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Outside of work, you can usually find Alina spending time with her family in the mountains—skiing, backpacking, or enjoying nature.
