Overview
As a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in gerontological nursing, the main focus of my practice has been inpatient consultation for frail patients over 65, conducting comprehensive geriatric assessments. I am also board certified in hospice and palliative care advanced practice nursing. In my current position, I am a provider in a transdisciplinary team for an inpatient specialty palliative care consult service. We facilitate goals of care conversations and assist with complex symptom management in an acute-care setting for patients with serious illness. In my faculty role at UCSF SON I enjoy teaching and mentoring graduate students. I teach a variety of specialty and core courses for the Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist track of the master's program.
