    Francine has extensive experience as a healthcare administrator, educator, and consultant in large teaching university hospitals. She teaches at the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Nursing and Health Professions (SONHP) (for the last fourteen years in the MPA, BPA, BSHS, DNP, and MSN programs) and for the last year in the UCSF DNP Leadership program. In addition to teaching, Francine serves as a consultant to endeavors focusing on older adult needs, caregiver issues, and curriculum development.

    Francine is the past Program Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Population Health Leadership and 4+1 BSN-MSN Programs at USF SONHP. She is also the past Executive Director of the Hospital Consortium of San Mateo County. and the past Special Assistant to the CEO of Stanford Hospitals and Clinics.

    Francine served as an intern for the Health Care Financing Administration (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and in a congressional office working on entitlements in Washington, DC. She is also a graduate of Leadership San Mateo.

    On a personal note, she is married and has two adult daughters. She loves to eat, cook, bake, and entertain; spend time with friends; read; hike; and travel. She has spent many years volunteering for her children’s schools and church community and now volunteers for local safety net organizations. Francine sits on the following boards:
    • Pink Ribbon Good Bay Area Advisory Board
    • San Mateo County Health Care for the Homeless/Farmworker Health Board

    Her area of interest focuses on healthcare leadership and financial management, epidemiology, the community-dwelling older adult population, and interventions to enable older adults to stay healthy.
