    Heidi Truman is an ABC certified Orthotist/Prosthetist, specializing in pediatric orthotics. She sees patients at the Mission Bay and Parnassus Heights locations, and is the pediatric orthotic services clinical manager. She is the Residency Director for the UCSF Orthotic and Prosthetic Center and serves on the National Commission on Orthotics and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) board of directors. Heidi co-authored “Orthotic Evaluation and Prescription” in Umphred’s Neurological Rehabilitation textbook. Her interests include pediatric orthotics, clinical training, and clinical education. She has presented nationally on O&P residency and pediatric cases. Her clinical approach includes collaboration with the patient's care team, with a focus on the family. Providing optimal care for children is a professional privilege and a personal challenge.
