Matthew Gribble is the Associate Chief for Research in Occupational, Environmental and Climate Medicine (OECM) at UCSF, co-Director and lead academic partner of a Tribally Led Center for Oceans and Human Health, and founding Director of the UCSF Center for Oceans & Human Health. He is also co-lead ("Co-Chairholder") of the program called the UNESCO Chair in Oceans, Clean Water and Health at UCSF program. He is the 2026 Pew-Hoover Fellow in Marine and Biomedical Science. His interdisciplinary research program bridges environmental epidemiology, ecotoxicology, environmental psychology, and other environmental health sciences.
