Megan Schoettler is a pediatric nurse practitioner who cares for chronically ill infants, children and young adults with kidney disease. She also provides education, consultations, support and advocacy for patients in both the hospital and the clinics.
Schoettler led the development of the UCSF Pediatric Hypertension Program, the only such program in the region dedicated to evaluating and treating children and teens with high blood pressure.
Schoettler earned an undergraduate degree in nursing at Georgetown University and a master's degree in nursing at UCSF, training to become a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and National Kidney Foundation, and is the founding member of the Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Education Committee at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco.
