    Dr. Mehta is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He then completed an internal medicine residency with Maulana Azad Medical College, even serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Mehta then completed another internal medicine residency with Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He then stayed in Syracuse to complete a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Upstate Medical College. Dr. Mehta continued to specialize in his field further by completing a sleep fellowship in Boston with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

    Dr. Mehta is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the California Thoracic Society.
