Overview Dr. Sabrina Fernandez is a primary care pediatrician who cares for children of all ages at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. She sees patients both at the Mount Zion campus and Mission Bay campuses. In her practice, she sees children for routine primary care, health maintenance, and sick visits. Her interests include preventative care, quality improvement and patient-physician communication. Dr. Fernandez enjoys writing, and contributes regularly to the "Healthy Baby/Healthy Child" column in the journal "Pediatric Annals". She is also interested in immunizations, and is a board member of the San Francisco Immunization Coalition (http://www.sfimmunizationcoalition.org/). Lastly, she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring medical students and residents in her practice at UCSF and she is a co-director for Career Launch and Advising in the school of medicine.
Dr. Fernandez is an associate professor of pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her medical degree at UC Davis School of Medicine, followed by residency and chief residency in pediatrics at UCSF.
