I am Carlos Henrique V. Moreira, an Infectious Diseases physician specializing in Neglected Tropical Diseases and Internal Medicine. My academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases and a Master's in Clinical and Epidemiological Research, focusing on Implementation and Data Sciences.

I initiated my medical career within the Brazilian public health system, serving marginalized and diverse populations. This journey included providing essential healthcare in the Amazon Rainforest, where I catered to the unique needs of indigenous tribes and isolated communities. In São Paulo, my roles were diverse, encompassing positions as an Infectious Diseases consultant, General Practitioner, and Emergency Room leader. These experiences have sharpened my adaptability, critical thinking, and public health leadership skills.

Currently, I am validating my MD diploma in the United States, aiming to broaden my impact on global health and continuing patient care. Beyond my clinical practice, my research interests are manifold and rooted in evidence-based medicine. My work includes an NIH-funded study that addresses treatment barriers for Chagas Disease in Brazil and research into the effects of COVID-19 on vulnerable populations. My ultimate goal is to translate practical challenges into impactful research, aiming for systemic change in healthcare.
