I am a nurse leader and educator who has spent most of my career directing hospital quality improvement and risk management programs. My experience also includes consulting for a large Northern California healthcare system and developing a compliance and regulatory services department for a tri-county health plan. Since 1997 I have taught graduate courses in leadership, quality improvement, and risk/compliance. My research interest is how healthcare professionals apply leadership skills to improve patient care services.
I appreciate working with DNP students because their projects improve nursing practice and patient outcomes.
